Purpose: Psalm 23 positions us to have STRENGTH in the midst of STRUGGLE.
Psalms 23:1-6 NIV 1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he refreshes my soul.He guides me along the right pathsfor his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walkthrough the darkest valley,I will fear no evil,for you are with me;your rod and your staff,they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before mein the presence of my enemies.You anoint my head with oil;my cup overflows. 6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

It starts with REST. We make our worst DECISIONS when we are TIRED.
Man was created on the sixth day and on the seventh day God rested, therefore the first day that man spent with God was a day of REST.
Matthew 11:28 NLT 28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Christianity is not a big DO
Christianity is a big DONE

1. FEAR REMOVED
Psalms 4:8 NLT 8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.
Fear is the byproduct of misplaced FOCUS.
2 Timothy 1:7 NLT 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
2. FRICTION RESOLVED It is the PRESENCE of the shepherd that brings PEACE within the flock. Ephesians 2:14 NLT 14 For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us.
3. FREEDOM from PESTS.
Psalms 139:23 NIV 23 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Romans 8:11 NLT 11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
4. FOOD in their STOMACH
Philippians 4:19 NIV 19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
