Description

I Samuel 17:32-33 “Don’t worry about this Philistine,” David told Saul. “I’ll go fight him!” “Don’t be ridiculous!” Saul replied. “There’s no way you can fight this Philistine and possibly win! You’re only a boy, and he’s been a man of war since his youth.”
Are you being REASONABLE or RIDICULOUS?
Acts 3:1-3 Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o’clock prayer service. As they approached the Temple, a man lame from birth was being carried in. Each day he was put beside the Temple gate, the one called the Beautiful Gate, so he could beg from the people going into the Temple. When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money.
WHY WE STAY OUTSIDE THE GATE
1. We feel UNWORTHY.
2. Because it WORKS.
Acts 3:4-6 Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, “Look at us!” The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money. But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!”
Your REQUEST will reveal your level of EXPECTANCY.
It is IN the ridiculous that you FIND the miraculous.
In order to see the MIRACULOUS, you have to be willing to do the RIDICULOUS, which means you have to be willing to let go of the REASONABLE.
What seems RIDICULOUS to you is really just REASONABLE to God.
