Description

Christmas is a season for a MIRACLE.

The Miracles of Christmas:

1. The ANNOUNCEMENT

Luke 1:26-30 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel

Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man

named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel

went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with

you.” Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting

this might be. But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.

2. The CONCEPTION

Luke 1:31, 34-35 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him

Jesus. “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?” The angel

answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most

High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of

God.

3. The INCARNATION

John 1:1-4, 14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.   Through him all things were

made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

truth.

4. The VISITATION

Matthew 2:1-2 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have

come to worship him.”

Matthew 2:10-11 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
