Description

Thank you for tuning in to hear from our Lighthouse Point Location Pastor, Brian McMillian!

Today's message is based in Hebrews 12:1-3, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverancethe race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."

Freedom is Fundamental

We need to run the race that God has set before us, we need to get rid of distractions!

Put the Past in its Place

Remember the truth - 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Psalm 103:12, "as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us"

Not Only Does He Forgive, He Forgets

Cast Your Cares on Christ

1 Peter 5:7, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Realize that your burdens are meant to be cast.

1 Peter 5:8, "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."

We believe that God has a purpose and a plan for your life!

2 Corinthians 10:5, "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."

Fix Your Focus on Christ

Endure the Race

Hebrews 12:3, "Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."

Your race will NOT go unchallenged. Consider Christ, all that He endured

"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." James 1:2
