We live Generously. Generosity = Love in Action  1 -  2 -  3 -  4 -  5 -  6 -  7 -  8 -  9 - 10  

Benefits of Generosity:Generosity Honors God

2 Cor 9:13 As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ.  

Prov 14:31 Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.  

2 Cor 9:11  Yes, you will be enriched in every way so thatyou can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.  

Matt 25: 40 ... ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’

Generosity draws me closer to God.  

Matt 6:21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.Generosity makes me more like Jesus.  

Ephesians 5:1-2 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.  

Prov 21:26 Some people are always greedy for more, but the godly love to give!  

Philippians 2:4-5 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.  

Generosity Demonstrates my Faith 

Philemon 1:6 And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ.  

Mal 3:10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!Generosity brings God's blessing.  

Prov 22:9 Blessed are those who are generous, because they feed the poor.  

Deut 15:10 Give generously to the poor, not grudgingly, for the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do.  

2 Cor 9:7-8 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.  Generosity increases my happiness   

Acts 20:35 And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”  

Prov 11: 25 The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.Generosity expands my influence  

PS 112:9 They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.  

Proverbs 18:16 Giving a gift can open doors; it gives access to important people!

Generosity brings Gods Protection  

PS 112:5-6 Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly.Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered.  Generosity is Eternal  

1 Tim 6:18-19 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.  

Luke 16:9 Here’s the lesson: Use your worldly resources to benefit others and make friends. Then, when your possessions are gone, they will welcome you to an eternal home.
