Description

In this paper, Madison argues against Thomas Jefferson’s assertion that two out of three branches should be able to call a convention to modify the constitution.  Madison illustrates that this principle will centralize the legislative branch while taking away power from the other two branches.  Nevertheless, igniting instability in the federal government while additionally making the legislative branch the judge, jury, and executioner.
