Ed Ferrera nasceu em Cariré, Ceará, Brasil, em 1973. Vive e trabalha em Sobral, Ceará. É artista visual, arte-educador, produtor cultural e curador. Graduado em Língua Portuguesa com especialização em Arte-Educação pela Universidade Estadual Vale do Acaraú e atualmente é estudante de Artes Visuais na Universidade Estadual do Ceará. Exerce a curadoria sempre em diálogo com a educação desde o início dos anos 1990. Dentre seus projetos curatoriais, destaque para o Salão de Cariré (2009), o Safra Sobral de Artes Visuais (2003 e 2014) e a Norte Bienal, projeto de longa duração dedicado à produção dos artistas baseados no interior do Ceará e que já teve quatro edições desde 2014.
[Ed Ferrera was born in Cariré, Ceará, Brazil, in 1973. Lives and works in Sobral, Ceará. He's a visual artist, art educator, cultural producer and curator. He holds a bachelor in Portuguese with an specialization in Art Education at the State University of Vale do Acaraú and at the moment he's a student of Visual Arts at the State University of Ceará. He works as a curator always in dialogue with education since the beginning of the 1990s. Among his projects, we call attention to Salão de Cariré (2009), Safra Sobral de Artes Visuais (2003 and 2014) and Norte Bienal, a long duration project dedicated to the production of the artists based in the North of the state of Ceará.
