Nos anos 90 e início dos 2000, o nu metal era a trilha sonora da revolta adolescente. Guitarras distorcidas, vocais raivosos e batidas contagiantes hipnotizavam as massas, enquanto nas telonas, essa energia se transformava em filmes que refletiam a angústia, a alienação e a busca por identidade daquela geração.
Imagine hordas de máscaras grotescas e macacões de couro invadindo as ruas, guitarras como espadas e riffs como gritos de guerra. As letras carregadas de raiva e frustração encontravam eco nos personagens marginalizados e nos conflitos existenciais que permeavam as histórias.
O nu metal no cinema foi mais do que música. Foi um movimento cultural que capturou o zeitgeist de uma época, traduzindo em imagens e sons as angústias, os sonhos e as rebeldias de uma geração.
