They discuss his upbringing where he played basketball at Breckinridge County High School where he was named Kentucky Mr. Basketball. Beard was selected with the 10th overall pick in the 1969 NBA Draft and played nine seasons in the NBA. Bill and Butch recount his favorite moments in the NBA and how he made the transition to coaching, serving as the head coach of the New Jersey Nets from 1994 to 1996.
