Matatu, a ubiquitous and necessary part of urban Kenyan life, past and present, but some women really do pay too dear a price for a little public transportation. From sexual assault, to physical violence and even death, these incidents and stories of brutality against women have dogged matwana/matatu culture for a long time.



In this episode, we highlight a few cases of violence, and death involving women in matatu.
