Peter Mehlman is an American television writer, comedian, and producer, best known for serving as a writer and producer on the TV series Seinfeld through nearly all of the show's nine-year run from 1989–98. Before his Seinfeld fame, he was a sportswriter for the Washington Post and then became a freelance magazine writer in New York.
