AAPI month stands for Asian American and Pacific Islander Awareness Month. It is celebrated for the duration of the month of May for recognizing the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans.
In this discussion, we want to bring awareness to social justice issues many Pacific Islander communities face and bring awareness to said issues whilst uplifting our guests' personal experiences and impacts of being in Pacific Islander communities. We also want to remind everyone of events unfolding across the Asian American community and the deep impacts it is currently making on our society. We urge you to get involved and continue to bring awareness to your community and seek equity as well as justice.
