I share an intimate conversation with Shannon about young love, an unexpected pregnancy, and her choice to have an abortion. Abortions are still very heavily stigmatized in our culture and there seems to be a cruel commentary towards womxn who get one - that they are irresponsible, and should make better choices. The reality is that there are many many reasons that womxn choose to have an abortion, and none of those reasons are for anyone to judge. It is not a decision any womxn would take lightly, and I am grateful that Shannon was brave enough to share her story here with us.
