On this episode:It's been a long gap for us amid the COVID-19 pandemic but after a quick catch up we start off the pod with the most pressing piece of news in the world, that being the news surrounding the death of George Floyd. We offer our thoughts and our message of solidarity with the black community during these troubling times. From this, we discuss how this tragic incident has touched many lives in the sports world. We run through the NHL and NBA playoff formats and how we think the playoff matchups would play out. As the MLB continues to negotiate and attempt to figure out an agreement to return to play, we talk about how some of the league’s highest profiles are helping the minor leaguers whose salaries are being cut. Ameer and Brant discuss the UFC, one of the very few sports actually running during the pandemic and some of the banter going on between Conor McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje. Finally, Mauro addresses the fact that slowly, the domestic soccer leagues in Spain (La Liga), Italy (Serie A) and England English Premier League) are each set to return by the end of June.*Recorded June 2nd, posted June 3rd to support #BlackoutTuesday*theehsports.comFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/TheEHSports/Twitter:@theehsports, @AmeerJHamid, @brandubs11, @CesarioMauroInstagram:@theehsports, @ameerhamid, @brandubs11, @mcesario97,
