In today’s episode of The Farm Team Podcast I am pleased to be joined by the Head Coach of the Camrose Kodiaks in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, Clayton Jardine. Coach Clayton is in his 2nd full season as the Kodiaks Head Coach and is the youngest Head Coach in the AJHL. This season has proven to be riddled with obstacles and is by far the most challenging season of all time for players, coaches, and organizations.

If there is a Coach that is up for the challenge, look no further than Coach Clayton. His playing experience and education have prepared him to overcome obstacles and lead his players and organization through these treacherous waters. His leadership capabilities and no excuse attitude will be on full display for when the bell rings to start this season. You can guarantee he and his team will be ready to answer it.

Clayton was born and raised in Lacombe, Alberta and grew up playing youth hockey in the Red Deer Minor Hockey Association. Clayton joined the Camrose Kodiaks as a player in his Grade 11 year and played 4 seasons with the Kodiaks before earning himself a scholarship to play for the NCAA Division 1 Merrimack College Warriors in the Hockey East Conference. Upon graduating from the Warriors program Clayton continued his educational pursuit and received his Masters of Business Administration in Strategic Leadership from New England College.

After completing his MBA he has served in a number of coaching roles highlighted by being recognized as Coach of the Year in the SJHL and as an assistant coach for Team Canada West in the 2020 Junior A World Challenge.  I am thrilled to have Clayton on the program today to talk about some of these accomplishments and I'm excited to get his perspective on providing Actionable Insight to the next generation of student-athletes.
