In today's episode of The Farm Team podcast I am pleased to be joined by Jeremy Mylymok. Jeremy is the Director of Hockey for the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame. Notre Dame is a private, independent, and co-educational boarding high-school located in Wilcox, Saskatchewan. Founded in 1920, Notre Dame has become internationally recognized for producing some of the best athletes in a variety of sports.
Jeremy is entering his 8th season with the academy and I’m excited to have him on the show to learn more about the Hounds program and the impact the School has on the community of Wilcox. Jeremy has two son’s Luke and Conner who played for the Hounds and now play in the NCAA for the University of Minnesota - Duluth Bulldogs and for the University of Alaska - Fairbanks Nanooks.
Jeremy amassed a very impressive hockey career himself and started his student-athlete journey by playing 4 seasons for the Notre Dame Hounds where he earned a four-year scholarship to play for the NCAA Division 1 University of Alaska - Anchorage Seawolves. After graduating from the Seawolves program Jeremy went on to play in 11 professional seasons which was highlighted by winning the 2003-2004 ECHL Kelly Cup with the Idaho Steelheads.
Jeremy joins me today with a wealth of knowledge from all aspects of the game and I look forward to learning more about his perspective of the player and coach development process.
