In today’s episode of The Farm Team Podcast I am pleased to be joined by the General Manager of the Calgary Northstars, Jesse Hale. Jesse has been in the trenches of hockey operations for the better part of a decade. His tireless dedication to the improvement of the overall experience of players, and coaches is something that needs to be exemplified and replicated. The world of Hockey Ops is not often talked about and I hope today we can provide a behind the scenes look at what the intricacies are of running a successful minor hockey organization.
Jesse has served in a number of faucets of player and coach development throughout his career. With his longest serving tenure being with Hockey Alberta in a variety of player development positions, coincided by his 5 years with the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns as the Director of Hockey Operations. Jesse recently moved back to Calgary to take on the role of General Manager of the Northstars Organization in the city's North East, and previous to that he spent last season out in Ottawa serving as the Head of Player Development for the Senators Sports & Entertainment group in the National Hockey League.
Jesse joins us today to talk about a variety of topics regarding player and coach development. I look forward to getting his perspective and learning more about what got him into the game, and what drives him to continue down this critically important avenue of growing the game of hockey.
