Join Absolute EHS as we learn about The Smith Center for the Arts' response to this global pandemic. At a time where concerts, performances, and large gatherings were disallowed, they needed to adapt to keep this historic theater alive and relevant.
Since 2017, Susan has been the Executive Director of the Smith Center for the Arts in Geneva, NY, stewards of the 126 year old, 1400 seat Smith Opera house. She was a teaching staff member of the Department of Theatre Arts at Ithaca College for 12 years, where she taught and conducted research about the development of the “creative economy” of rural areas. A Fulbright grant in 2013 took her to Galway Ireland to work with the EU’s Creative Edge project studying the current breadth and future scope of the creative economy in several European countries. Also active in the arts community of her home in Ithaca, she has degrees from Dartmouth College, Cornell University, and Ithaca College.
