Description

In this episode, entertainment/disc jockey extraordinaire Ken Cosco and I talk about his life as a disc jockey. He and I also work Spring Training games for the Boston Red Sox. Ken plays the music, and I worked the video board for Red Sox home games at JetBlue Park.   We start this conversation with Ken's early days as a DJ. He talks about how he and his friends began. His father wanted Ken to stop wasting his money being a DJ. We also discuss how technology has evolved since he started.

The conversation shifts to Ken talking about the music he plays during events, sports events, and social gatherings. We also look at famous musicians he has performed and seen in person. Among them, Ken has seen Michael Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Debbie Gibson, Garth Brooks, and others. Ken needed to keep himself from interfering with the teleprompter at the Michael Jackson concert at Madison Square Garden.

We look at how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected his business with few social gatherings in the Boston area. Even today, seeing some fans in ballparks is unusual.

We conclude this episode by looking at the Red Sox 2021 season and what Ken's plans will be for the rest of this year.
