In the third episode of our mini economic development series, we are joined with Kate Nash, Economic Development Champion and Jelmer Stegink, Program Director for DMZ Innisfil. Kate is a creative economic development professional with over 6 years’ experience in sales, marketing, and business administration. Kate brings together local businesses, community organizations, and ecosystem partners to build a thriving community of entrepreneurship and innovation within Innisfil. Previously, Kate worked as a marketing manager for a tech software startup based in Toronto. Jelmer is the driving force behind DMZ Innisfil and Innisfil's growing technology startup ecosystem. Founding several startups and joining early-stage founders, Jelmer helped them find product-market fit and traction. After 5 years as founder and early startup employee, Jelmer ventured off into the public sector where he discovered his passion for building ecosystems and supporting entrepreneurs
