Season 4 | Episode 2 | November 29, 2020

On this episode of The Last Sunday, you’ll hear music written and performed by Aurora Wolfe, a rant performed by Kris Alvarez, a brand new play called “Just Goliath” written by Shanda Stefanson and performed by (in order of appearance) Elizabeth Nepjuk and Kristel Harder, and a hot seat interview with Will Buschert, who teaches Bio-Ethics in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Saskatchewan. All performances are interspersed with comments and introductions from our host and Artistic Director, Joel Bernbaum as well as our partners in Regina and The Battlefords.

This episode was right after provincial and municipal elections in Saskatchewan, as well as during the second wave of the global pandemic COVID-19. This month’s themes were: self-care, coping, giving voice to those who do not have it, the bio ethics of the pandemic, vaccination

The Last Sunday is recorded live every last Sunday of every month from October to May at the Broadway Theatre in Saskatoon, SK on Treaty 6 Land the Homeland of the Metis. This year we are also streaming the event live for people to watch from the comfort of their own homes. If you are interested in watching it live, check out our website for details. This podcast is a recording of those evenings. The Last Sunday asks artists to create in different forms of media their responses to the month’s current events. You will hear work from playwrights, musicians, ranters, and a hot seat interview. There is a lot going on in the world and the Last Sunday is here to help us digest our current moment. We hope these performances and the discussions they generate will help build a better community.
