After taking a little break, Shane and Michael sit and chat with one of the MAPS family producers, Ryan Athey. Ryan owes and operates Dire Audio out of surf city, Huntington Beach, California. Ryan and Michael went to the same high school in HB but only really got to knowing each other after they both graduated. With the help of the wild man, Max Karon, their world's came together. The trio talks about the separation between LA recording and OC recording and what it takes to start moving from the bedroom to a proper studio. One word of advice, if you ever work in the studio with Mr. Athey...make sure you know how to properly wrap XLR cables.
