Persecution is not something we like to talk about. It’s uncomfortable, it’s painful, and sometimes, it feels unfair. But Jesus doesn’t shy away from the reality that following Him comes with a cost. Yet, even in the midst of that suffering, He declares a blessing — a promise of the kingdom of heaven to those who endure for the sake of righteousness.
