TW: Death, abuse, trauma.
The idea? Grief Appropriation.
Nora and Tim explore the concept of grief appropriation, where someone takes your grief and pain, and make it about them. They take your voice, your trauma, your story, and tell it for you, without your consent. The two discuss the snowball effect of this idea and Tim explains the lasting impact it's had. Nora hits Tim with a reality check that opens his eyes to his own negative opinions on grief and himself. As Nora's leg injury invades her day to day, she echoes the sentiment of "I want my mommy."
