Today we’re breaking down one of my pet peeves: New Years Resolutions. Okay, let’s be honest, who else has ever made a New Years resolution and not followed through? *raising both my hands* So, what’s the deal? The problem is, a lot of people try to make changes starting with their behavior by attempting to quit habits cold turkey or start something new without first changing their mindset. For example, if you want to eat healthier, that’s an amazing goal! However, if you don’t change your thoughtsfirst, you’ll probably end up in the same vicious cycle of shame-based actions and feeling defeated. Healthy habits can’t hold their weight under a toxic mindset. I didn’t say easy - because let’s be real, mindset work is hard work - but it is a simple process that brings about major breakthrough. It’s true what they say, “Change your thoughts and you’ll change your life.”
