Sometimes, expectations from a person would make one too depressed when disappointed. Expect that man is bound to fail so that when they fail you, you won’t be pained.
Take careful cognizance of the kind of people you open up to and always have it at the back of your mind that God alone is trustworthy.

Low self-esteem was an accompaniment. I always felt unloved even when someone was trying to love me, I was scared of being disappointed. I was scared of pouring out my heart to someone, I preferred keeping it all to myself or telling God about it.
