Courtney Turcotte Bond is a freelance writer, poet, and blogger, but she’s had a dream to write a book since she was eight years old. Thirty years later, that dream has finally become a reality with her debut novel, Breathtaking. When she is not writing or teaching, you can find Courtney running her cake pop business (Bondbons), singing along to every lyric at a concert, or traveling the country. Courtney shares her inspiring entrepreneurial journey with her cake pop business motivated by the pure goal of paying off student loans.
She also unpacks what it looked like for her to take yet another risky step into writing and publishing her first novel.
That journey was sparked by one of her students who had cystic fibrosis named Madison.
Madison had received a double lung transplant at the age of 13 which extended her life by another 6 years.
Courtney aims to highlight life with cystic fibrosis and the power of organ donorship in her novel.
