TJ Roberts is a social entrepreneur with a for-profit business who uses coffee as a conduit for good in the inner city of Kansas City, Kansas.. His upbringing and experiences in life have given him many takeaways from growing up with a deformity and being the only black kid in an all-white community AND household. His harsh “reality check” card was dealt with the day he was born but his talents and self-belief never held him back from becoming a drummer, a D1 football player, and now a business owner! Taste the kindness from his own hands or just listen and let your taste buds dream, TJ creates a community with coffee! This is TJ’s second time on the podcast. (Check episode 022) In that episode, he had a dream to start a community-based coffee shop.
In today’s episode, he sits in the lobby of his very own coffee shop called Kinship Cafe.
He shares the story that catapulted him into his new business endeavor. We talk business, the power of representation, and success through personal development.
