I often find that once we gain awareness around behavior patterns we want to change, we end up discouraging ourselves by beating ourselves up for not being different. Change takes time and a commitment. Permanent behavior change is a PROCESS. We are not use to a process. We are used to rewards and punishments. This plays our internally as we reward our “good” behavior and punish our “bad” behavior.
