I’ve been having conversations with parents about helping their children navigate social situations. In these conversations I recognized a pattern. Children were going to the adult in charge and not getting clear direction. Often, children’s call for help is seen as tattling. In today’s episode I am sharing information on how to look at tattling from a new angle. We can see tattling as an annoyance or as an opportunity to teach new skills. I talk about three forms of tattling and how to respond to bring clarity and foster encouragement.
