Mental health problems affect around one in four people in any given year. They range from common problems, such as depression and anxiety, to rarer problems such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. What does awareness mean in mental health?
Awareness is about developing an understanding of one's mental health and well-being needs and the potential to be vulnerable to further episodes of mental ill-health. Identify trigger, monitoring and effectively managing them can significantly reduce our risks of mental ill-health. Do remember that it is okay to say 'no' and 'I am not okay'. Mental health is real and affects more people than we recognise. Support yourselves and others in de-stigmatising Mental Health.
