Description

Ross County will be playing Premiership football next year! They secured safety without even having to go through a play-off with a 2-1 win away at Motherwell last weekend, so Will and Andrew break down what that means for John Hughes' future and pick out their star performers for the Staggies over the course of the campaign.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle meanwhile are looking for a new manager after John Robertson moved upstairs into a sporting director role, with several different names being linked with the role. Those who are already in the Highland capital though have a reason to celebrate after two homegrown talents were named in the Scotland squad for Euro 2020.

Outside of the big two football clubs, the North Caledonian League returns this weekend, while Inverness Caledonian Thistle Women will not have to wait too much longer to get back playing themselves.

Away from football there is plenty of good news, from club records and international call-ups in athletics to the first rugby tournament since the start of the pandemic - and there's even a bit of fishing thrown in too.
