Description

There was one story that dominated sports news in the Highlands this week: Malky Mackay being appointed Ross County manager. Will and Andrew take an in-depth look at why Staggies fans are upset, why the club have given him a chance, what could have been done better with the announcement and even a clip of his first press conference in Dingwall.

Across the Kessock Bridge in Inverness, Caley Thistle are still looking for a manager themselves, but they did see four of their top youngsters from last season get called up for the Scotland Under-21 squad.

North Caledonian League clubs gear up for another week of action as they play out the end of the season, while all of our best wishes go to Nairn County manager Ronnie Sharp who is recovering at home after suffering a heart attack.

Away from football, there is another Loughborough International title for discus thrower Kirsty Law, and a particularly heart-warming story in the world of golf.
