One of the hardest parts of any relationship is being completely, totally and utterly honest with ourselves and each other. Ugh! It's not easy!
It's something that I've had to learn and rumble with because I've always thought that if someone knew the "real" me then they'd reject me.
But like anything significant that's changed in my life it's meant I've had to confront my beliefs about myself (on repeat). I've come to realise that if I wanted something different for myself then I knew that I had to change my thinking about it.
Bringing transparency into a relationship is always deeply impactful. It's not always easy but it's worth it. With baby steps, Ben and I are creating something that feels intimate, respectful, freeing and connecting.
For love to grow, it needs transparency, honesty, love, kindness and safety.
