On the basis of 1 Timothy 3:1-13, Rob Forbes points toward leadership being a gift from God. It is a GOOD gift from Jesus that serves a purpose in building God's kingdom here on earth. It is also clear that a person's character is more important than his gifting. God is looking for people who are F-A-S-T: Faithful/faithfilled, Available, Submitted (to His will) and Teachable.
