In today's episode, I speak with one of my favorite vocalists from the scene, Mr. Adam Lohrbach!
One of the first big stacked shows I was lucky enough to see was Homegrown, MXPX, and Blink 182. It was at Liberty Hall in Lawrence KS. Even before that show, I have fond memories listening to Homegrown's first record "That's Business" on the floor of my best friends bedroom. We were borderline obsessed with that record and then when "Act Your Age", their second record came, we were beyond fans. I spent an entire Summer devouring that record front to back.
Adam and I discuss what it was like growing up in the scene, forming Homegrown, and the many stages the band encountered afterwards. We also discuss what it was like making the painful decision to transition away from the band. Adam feels like it was a decision he had to make, and it changed the trajectory of his life.
We also get a chance to discuss the writing and recording of Adam's new solo record under the project name "Radical Radical". The first single from the album "Misfit Toys" is on all the streaming networks NOW, and I'll leave a Spotify link as well.
At the end of the episode, we talk about the role exercise, meditation, and being present has really allowed Adam to soak up the good moments and feel a sense of gratitude and purpose.
I absolutely loved having this conversation, and I hope you all enjoy it and take something away from it. Enjoy!
