On today's episode, I'm excited because I had the opportunity to speak with Frank Tsoukalas from the Chicago band Much The Same.
Frank is the bassist and co-songwriter for Much The Same. He is also the songwriter and singer of the band Burn Rebuild.
Frank and I have a lot in common. We both grew up on Fat Wreck and Epitaph, we both have bands that were heavily influenced and inspired by those types of bands and it's reflected in the music of our bands.
I also wanted to have Frank on because his social media presence always makes me laugh and it's always entertaining. I knew that Frank, like me, enjoys exercising and lifting weights, so I knew we would probably discuss that.
I also wanted to know what compelled Much The Same to put out a new full length over 13 years after the previous record. It's a fantastic record called "Everything is Fine", and it was one of my favorite records of 2019. So, we get into that.
