Description

On today's episode, I'm extremely excited to be chatting with Mr. Kevin Sanders, drummer for the pop/rock pop punk band Cartel.

Cartel is from Conyers, Georgia which is a suburb of Atlanta.

We talk about a lot in this convo. We talk about the early days of the band, linking up with producers Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount.

We talk about Chroma, The MTV experiment, major labels, and what it's like to have a legacy as a band in general but also as a band in the subculture that is Emo.

We talk about being a band doing things on its own terms and having fun in the process.

I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation. I've been a band for almost 20 years now and talking to Kevin felt like talking to a bud. A very down-to-earth thoughtful dude.

I think you'll enjoy this one.
