Description

This Hillel at Home podcast episode was recorded on March 24, 2020, during the first weeks of COVID19 lockdowns, when students entered into a Passover holiday that would look different than any they had known. Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks z''l provided a message of inspiration during a time of fear, connection in a time of dislocation, and responsibility in a time of need.

Rabbi Sacks was an international religious leader, philosopher, and award-winning author. Rabbi Sacks was Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth, authored over 35 books, and served as a professor at several academic institutions, including Yeshiva University, New York University, and King’s College London.

He was one of the greatest Jewish thinkers of the 21st century who bridged the religious and secular world through his remarkable and ground-breaking work.

Rabbi Sacks passed away on November 7, 2020, having taught and inspired so many of our students and professionals through the years.
