The winter solstice is upon us and it's bloody time we take out those delicious horror holiday treats. We're not talking about mom's horribly disgusting Christmas cookies filled with satans boogers aka raisins. We're talking beautiful holiday horror goodness folks. In this week's episode, we discuss and review 2006's remake of Black Christmas. Directed by Glen Morgan and Produced by James Wong.
Synopsis: The holiday season turns deadly for a group of sorority sisters (Katie Cassidy, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lacey Chabert, Michelle Trachtenberg) who are stranded at their campus house during a snowstorm. These coeds better watch out, for a vicious killer is on the loose, and he will not care if they are naughty or nice.

Fun Facts in Horror:
1.) Black Christmas (2006) -Director Glen Morgan signed on to write and direct the film after the release of his 2003 remake of Willard. The shooting took place in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 2005. The film was co-distributed by Dimension Films and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. According to Morgan, he and Wong had numerous disputes with Dimension executives Bob and Harvey Weinstein regarding the tone of the script as well as the film's conclusion, which resulted in numerous re-writes and re-shoots.
2.) The original Black Christmas (1974) horror film was directed by Bob Clark who also made the cult holiday classic "A Christmas Story."
3.) The smash-hit Halloween came out in 1978 and is sometimes hailed as the first slasher film ever made let's not forget that the original (1974) Black Christmas came out four years before John Carpenter's Halloween film. However, nobody denies the unbelievable box office success of the original Halloween movie which made 70 million dollars on a budget of $325,000 US dollars (1978). Add inflation and its total is 183.6 million dollars.
