Betrayal
How do you deal with betrayal? What do you do when your support system pulls the rug under your feet?
Jesus knew His disciples will buckle at the earliest sign of trouble. Yet He prayed for Peter, encouraged the other disciples, fed Judas, urged Judas on knowing he was about to sell him out. He knew Judas was a thief yet Jesus put him in charge of the treasury.
What to do, love the one who betrayed you, pray for them go above and beyond to do them good, look out for them, you may be the only expression of the Jesus they will ever see.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
