Description

O Jacob, how can you say the LORD does not see your troubles?
O Israel, how can you say God ignores your rights?
Have you never heard?
Have you never understood?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary.
No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:27-31

Joseph, his fathers' favourite son, Jacob, showed it by making him a coat of many colours to the envy of the other children. Can anyone blame? Him, he was a child of love. The son Rachael, his beloved, bore him after years of waiting. He had a God-given gift. Joseph could dream. The pictures of the future were bright and revealed that he would someday be great and all around him would have to bow. His brothers and father did not find his dreams funny, so rather than receive guidance, Joseph got reprimanded. He was sure there was something wrong, so he dreamt some more. This time, his dream landed him in trouble. The plot was simple, get rid of him, no, kill him, and then, there would be no chance of his dream assuming life. God was in the mix; the brothers did not come to a consensus, ended up selling him off as a slave and lying to their father that he had been killed.
What now, from prince to slave just because of a dream? From our vantage position, we see that Joseph's dream was God's idea, but the time was not yet, so a period of waiting was necessary. His grandfather had been told his offsprings would be slaves for four hundred years in the land of Egypt, and then they would. Be brought back to their land. God had a plan, and the man thought he had an idea. The merchants sold. Israel off to Potiphar, who had a loose wife who only saw Joseph as an object of her lust. He lands in prison for refusing madam—some more wait time. God is still working out His purposes. Josephs story continues, but I know you get the drift.
Like Joseph, you had a dream, a vision, a prophecy, and you were over the moon. The future was glorious, but the present is bleak. I mean, there is a gulf between you and the promised land, and it is turning out to be so dark you need divine assistance.
What do you do when you have reached the end of yourself?

Isaiah 50:10
Who among you fears the LORD
and obeys his servant?
If you are walking in darkness,
without a ray of light,
trust in the LORD
and rely on your God.
What should be your reaction when your best seems not good enough? Stand!
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:13
Waiting is not for the faint hearted. Waiting is for the brave, the strong and the trusted. Wait my dear friend, your God is cooking something delish and it has your name written all over it.
Shalom!
