We're talking Green Day's massive album, American Idiot. Is it a concept album? Does labelling an album a concept album automatically make it better than if it was not a concept album?
We're joined by our friend Tom to figure out if Green Day actually took that much of a political risk with this album and if cramming two songs on one track when they don't flow together at all is a smart move. I've tried to write this as a neutral but I've never understood Green Day. Tre Cool is one of my least favourite musicians, but hey, Tom and Benjii liked 'em so let's hear them out. I was never sentient to Dookie. My first interaction with a Green Day CD ended in heartbreak so maybe I'm biased. Is it me who is wrong, no, it's the kids.
