To illustrate this concept, let's imagine you want to invest $10,000 in a stock. Instead of investing all of the money at once, you could invest $1,000 per month for 10 months. If the stock price is high when you start, you'll buy fewer shares, but if the price drops, you'll be able to buy more shares. Over time, the average cost per share will be lower, which can result in a higher overall return on your investment.
Next, let's talk about value investing. Value investing is a strategy where you invest in stocks that are undervalued by the market. In other words, you're looking for companies that are trading at a lower price compared to their earnings, sales, and other financial metrics.
