Over the next few months, I will be undertaking an exciting new project of wealth creation within the framework of my Portfolio Management class. For this class, 15% of my grade will be attributed to my performance in an Investopedia stock market simulation against my classmates. The challenge will be to outperform the class by the end of the semester. So far, things are going pretty well for me, but there are still a few months to go. The simulation has been active for three weeks and I've managed to rank 2nd place out of 60 with a 5% return. 😏
As of today, only three students have maintained their accounts above the initial $1,000,000 cash position. The rest of the class has lost money. I'm using this as an opportunity to actively test out some new strategies, some of which may be very high risk. This is why you might not see me make the same trades with my real money. Also, of course, it's no secret that I'm almost out of cash. My leftover purchasing power only cumulates to a few small purchases, which is why I'm being extremely selective with my real money. If you see a duplicate trade in here AND in another channel at the same time, that means that it's a high conviction trade. For instance, my DWAC and PTON shorts were both done with real and fake money. By showing my simulation trades here, it allows you all to see what I would have done if I had $1,000,00 leftover in cash. It allows the show to move on and extends the limits of my journey in wealth creation beyond real capital constraints. Finally, hopefully, it allows me to ace my grade, so it's a win-win 😉
