Imposter Syndrome is the internal experience of believing that you are not as competent as others perceive you to be. Essentially it is the experience of feeling like a phony or feeling like you don’t belong. This can show up for anyone, but it is particularly prevalent in minorities, especially in the corporate workplace environment. Imposter Syndrome impacts at least 70% of the population and in this episode, we discuss everything from how it has shown up in our lives, what may have caused it, and ways to overcome it. So many people of color have been told by society both directly and indirectly that they don’t belong in certain spaces.
