Join me today for the second episode of The Grail Series. Today we explore the anonymous Old French poem from the 13th century called The Elucidation. This cryptic prologue to the wider grail myths and legends is anything but clear! Nevertheless, our depth-psychological reading of the text offers an additional, unique definition of the wasteland, as well as the feminine origins of this collective epic. In particular, we are able to discern wisdom from three guiding principles: Mystery, hospitality, and justice. Given the tragic eruption of war in the Middle East, and the ongoing suffering globally, this is a powerful moment to integrate the ways in which we can offer the balm of justice to ourselves and others.
