Description

Our adversary is the dragon, the Leviathan, the serpent of old, the twisted serpent, the devil, and Satan

Animal imagery is intended to give us insight into the base nature of the person or spiritual being. Thus, the Shining One (Lucifer) is not a shape shifter showing up as a dragon one day and a serpent the next. These images speak to various aspects of his nature, that which is akin to a dragon and to that of a serpent. It describes how he operates, how he thinks, and how he functions with others.

The dragon is mighty, powerful, fierce, full of strength, fearless, the king over all the sons of pride, one whose
heart is as hard as stone, and unassailable. The image of this dragon is
intended to intimidate and cause fear. Whereas the serpent represents a nature of deception, wit, seduction, and wordplay; hence, the serpent is the shrewdest of all the creatures.

Lucifer is also referred to as the Leviathan—a creature that was formed to sport in the sea of humanity. Simply for sport, he causes chaos,
distress, terror, and destruction in the realms of humanity.

The devil is a slanderer—the world champion of deceit—and Satan
is the opposer.
