This second beast is even now doing all manner of unbelievable things. He now exercises all the authority of the Beast over the demonic infrastructure that will support the Beast. He is all about force, compulsion, threat, and terror – as he makes or causes those in the future to worship the Beast.
The Beast bears the scars of his punishment, the scars that have been caused to be healed, and he appears to all, in messianic fashion, to have risen from the dead. The demonic world believes
that he is the promised messiah; he will save them from the wrath of the Lamb. Those of the earth will worship him because of the scars.
The second beast also performs great signs, even now bringing fire from heaven to earth, and deceives those on the earth and keeps them worshipping demons instead of God. All of this is
performed in the heart of Christianity.
