The second beast has been responsible for an image of the Beast being created and standing where it ought not to be, in and amongst the holy ones of God. As a false Christ, the words which the image speaks compromise the grace of God by introducing some element of legalism and the “works of our hands” – which is demonic idolatry. These perversions are even found in how we
judge ourselves for our sin as well as those who have disappointed us with their sin.
If you have eyes to see, you are commanded to flee to the “mountains” of truth and stability.
God will use the Beast and its image as a threshing instrument to separate to Himself those who stand only on the goodness of God and who let God live in-and-through their lives from those who are trying very hard to be good for God and who are living for God.
